If you have a girl between the ages of 6 and 14 living in your house, I’m sure you were watching the Disney channel last Friday night. It was the evening of the exciting sequel to the popular “Teen Beach” movie…the premiere of “Teen Beach 2.” Claire has been looking forward to it for a while, so I knew she would want to share the fun with her friends.
Setting the scene for this party was easy…grass skirts, paper umbrellas, surf boards, leis, tropical flowers, tiki torches.
The girls arrived an hour before the movie started, so I planned a few activities. Choosing colorful leis, flower hair clips, and tropical temporary tattoos was just the start of the fun!
Next was a fun ring toss game involving pink flamingoes…perfect for a beachy party!
Then it was time to head to Claire’s Surf Shop for some refreshments, which included…
paper umbrella adorned cheese cubes
fruit kabobs
salt water taffy
blue ocean jello topped with sand (crumbled vanilla wafers)
mini donut kabobs
surfboard suckers
themed cutout cookies
Izze drinks, water bottles and non-alcoholic margaritas quenched everyone’s thirst!
Everyone filled a plate with goodies and spread out their beach towel sit on for a little picnic while they watched the movie. Then it was time for the countdown…
