I’ve been rushing the season a bit by decorating for Halloween when it’s still September. Even my girls have called me out on it…”Mom, you used to say no pumpkins until October.”
It’s hard not to get excited about the spooky day when you stumble upon some great finds (i.e. deals)! My friend, Lori, over at Giggle Living shared some fun purchases she made on a recent visit to Target (read her blog post here). After hearing about her new fall decorations, I just had to head to Target.
I missed out on the wire pumpkins Lori discovered, but I did find these great DIY burlap banners, letters, and whimsical wood clips.
The banners and packages of letters were $3 each, and a set of six clips was $1. How can you go wrong?
Even better, the black burlap letters have an adhesive backing…so easy to attach them to the banner pieces.
And these wood clips…SO cute and I love the patterns (polka dots and stripes)!
I knew I would use these supplies for something, and the prices were too good to resist!
After putting together this sweets display in my dining room, I just knew it needed a banner or two.
So I pulled out my Target purchases and starting crafting the banners…BE SPOOKY.
I completed the banners by placing the wood clips between every letter.
I love the way it pulls everything together…the colors, the polka dots, the “Eat Sweets and Be Spooky” saying on the serving platter.
So if you are looking for fun, festive, and affordable banner supplies, head to Target before they are gone…
