If you are like me, you’ve been busy shopping, decorating, and wrapping…oh, and tending to the usual household tasks, along with taking care of three busy kids. For some reason, I always leave the baking to the end of our holiday preparations. Maybe it’s because we really don’t need more sweets this time of the year!
However when I’m short on time, this recipe for white chocolate party mix is my go-to.
To make this, you will need…
- 1 pound white chocolate chips
- 3 cups crispix cereal
- 1 1/2 cups multi-grain cheerios
- 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels
- 1 1/4 cups dry roasted peanuts
- 8 ounces red and green M&Ms
Note…I usually double this recipe.
First, mix together the dry ingredients.
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in a separate bowl. Pour the melted chocolate into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Spread the party mix on waxed paper to solidify.
Once it hardens, break it into bite size pieces.
And if you are like the people living in my house, you will grab a handful each time you pass by the container of white chocolate party mix.
That sweet and salty flavor IS hard to resist! Enjoy!
